Mrs. Christine Avery

Hello, My name is Christine Avery.  I am in my 19th year of teaching music in public school, and beginning my 11th year at Dixon Road Elem. I received my B.A. in Music Education from Campbell University and my Masters in Music Education from ECU. (Go Camels and Pirates!!) I am married to my wonderful husband, Principal Michael Scott Avery.  We have two daughters; Bethany a recent graduate of ECU in Graphic Design and Selah is an eighth-grader at McGees Middle. We have four pets: Tigger and Luna our cats, Bailey the dog, and Chip the gerbil.

I love teaching music and watching the kids enjoy making music and exploring the world of music.
