Charlotte Sutton

Welcome to my website. I am Charlotte Sutton and I am a kindergarten teacher at Dixon Road Elementary School.

I am excited to start my 9th year as a Dixon Road Dragonfly. I  have taught first grade in Johnston County Public Schools for 5 years and kindergarten for 3 years. I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania  and  I have lived in Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida before coming to North Carolina. In  2008 I  graduate from the  University of  North Carolina at Greensboro with a BS in Elementary Education with a reading  focus. In  2016   I returned to the University of North Carolina where I  earned my M ED in Elementary Mathmatics.

I currently reside in Garner, NC with my husband David  and our daughter Brittney. We have another daughter, Kaylin, that lives in Rock Hill, SC.  One of my favorite things to do at home is walk my dogs Belle and Al. My husband and I are huge sports fans and follow all of the Pittsburgh sport teams.

  • Kids Heart Challenge

    Congratulations Dragonflies on a job well done with the Kids Heart Challenge this year!! Our school raised over $8,600 for the American Heart Association. Please make sure that all donations are complete and turned in to Coach Bullock NO LATER THAN Wednesday, March 8th. Thank you again for being a "heart hero" and helping others.

  • Summer Camp Opportunity

    The SECU Summer Camp Awards Program is back!  SECU plans to provide FAT CAT youth members, ages 12 and under along with Zard youth members, ages 13-19, with scholarships for summer camp registration and associated fees.

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
