Mrs. DeeDee Ward
Looking forward to a great school year at CHS!!!
Mrs. Ward is in her 11th year teaching Family and Consumer Science (FCS) here at Clayton High School. She is happily married and has two amazing children, both in college at NCSU and one of whom just graduated from CHS. Mrs. Ward and her family enjoy raising horses, cattle, sheep, and chickens on their farm.
Previous to teaching FCS at CHS, Mrs. Ward worked in the Interior Design industry in RTP for many years which enables her to bring much experience into the classroom. She also stayed home and raised her two children before deciding to transfer into education.
She is a co-adviser to Ms. Langdon for the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). FCCLA is the only student organization with the family as the focus, and is the ultimate leadership experience!
Mrs. Ward is a graduate from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. She is excited to be a part of Comet Country and looks forward to another great year at CHS!!!
