Mrs. Danie Summers
Welcome [back] to Clayton High School!
Mrs. Summers is so excited to be back at CHS in a new role coaching teachers on new and innovative classroom practices. This is her sixth year in education and her fourth year at Clayton.
Previously, she taught English I, English II, and Round Table at Clayton High School, Fifth Grade ELA in California, and English II and IV in Hawaii Public Schools. She has experience in charter, traditional, academic, and honors school settings.
Mrs. Summers is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, where she studied as a Morehead-Cain scholar, and will complete a masters in Museums Studies this year through the Harvard Extension Program. She is also a proud alumni of Johnston County Public Schools, having attended Cleveland Elementary, Middle, and West Johnston High School.
In spite of her own high school rivalry, Mrs. Summers is excited to be a part of the Comet family!
