Welcome to OCS! I'll be working with English 1, Occu Prep 1, and Civics students this semester. 

I'm really excited to be at Clayton High! I came to Johnston County in 1999 from Western Virgina and have had the opportunity to teach English and Art students at both the middle and high school levels. My husband, a creative wrting teacher, and I have two awesome boys, two rescue dogs, and two rescue cats. 

We'll be using Google Classroom and Google Meets for our classes. The invites have been sent out, but I'm going to include the codes to join here:

    OCS students: Welcome Back to Comet Country! I am so excited to welcome you to my classroom. When we get to meet in person, we will be in room 309. In the meantime, we will be using Google Classroom and Google Meet to dicsuss assignments and to check in.   • Innovative Programs Virtual Family Information Nights Scheduled

    Johnston County Public Schools invites students and their families to learn more about our interesting options for our middle and high school students during our Virtual Information Nights on January 28 and February 4, 2021. Participants will be able to visit the virtual spaces for each program and talk with program coordinators and students from 6:00-8:00 pm.

  • JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students

    The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.

  • High School State Assessments Update

    On December 8th 2020, the Johnston County School Board of Education voted to return to Plan C (Remote Learning), we would like to provide an update to parents and guardians of options to complete state-mandated End-of-Course (EOC) and Career/Technical Education Post Assessment testing.
