Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Arts Secondary English Education Certification: English 9-12
Mrs. Nicole Swanson
Welcome to Clayton High School!
I am in my sixth year of teaching English at CHS and my 16th year of teaching overall. I am a proud graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education. Certified in 9-12 English Education, I began my teaching career in Cumberland County, as my husband was in the Army. After several moves, two children and multiple states later, I stepped away from the classroom. I wanted to support my husband's military career, his soldiers and their families during the post 9/11 deployments.
After my husband's retirement in 2014, my family and I moved back to my home community of Meadow, in southern Johnston County. Although I am a graduate of SJHS, I am enjoying my time as a Comet.
Listed on the top left, you will see a link to my Google Classrooms, as well as my daily schedule. Please take a moment to find your child's class and see what we are doing. Also, know I am always here to answer any questions you should have concerning your child.
