Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Jane Bowman
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!
My name is Jane Bowman. I teach English Learners how to read, write, speak, and listen in the English language. I am a graduate of Peace College and Campbell University. I am a North Carolina native. This is my 18th year of teaching. Fourteen of those years have been at Clayton High School. Clayton High School provides an enriching, inviting, and thought - provoking environment for all of its students. The faculty and staff are among the best that North Carolina has to offer. I love working here and love working with my students. I provide a challenging, yet nurturing environment in my classroom and welcome each and every student.
This year Clayton High School has the most English Learners than its ever had. Some of the countried represented are: Colombia, Ukraine, Sierra Leone, Guatemala, Zimbabwee, Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador, Venezuela, Afghanistan, and the Hawiian Pacific Islands. We are currently working on things that range from beginning phrases to vocabulary to reading fiction and non fiction. Students help lead the classroom and are allowed opportunities to work in groups and at their own pace.
I look forward to working with each of you this year. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns: firstname.lastname@example.org
