Mrs. Dorothy Holley
About Mrs. Holley:
Mrs. Holley was born and raised right here in North Carolina and has been teaching science in North Carolina for 25 years. She has been teaching Chemistry and Physical Science in Johnston County since 2014, and more recently has been helping students with campus recycling through the Science Club.
Mrs. Holley earned a Batchelor of Arts in Chemistry from Wake Forest University (go Deacs!) and a Masters of Science in Environmental Education from Montreat College (the mighty Cavaliers!). She has been attending North Carolina State University to pursue a PhD in STEM Education.
Mrs. Holley enjoys being with her family, spending time outside, quilting, and doing Sudoku. She also enjoys helping students make sense of the science during the Pandemic. Understaning the science behind social distancing, flattening the curve and herd immunity can help us feel more powerful in overcoming the circumstances that are impacting our world.
