Enrollment

  • Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is happening now!! You can find detailed information on the JCPS Enrollment Site on how to enroll your student. 

    Looking for assistance or to schedule an appointment?

    We have established a help-line with someone available to answer your questions! Call or text 888-90-ENROLL, or 888-903-6765 with your questions. There is also an active live chat on this page, simply look for the red chat bubble in the bottom right corner. Or you can reach us by email enroll@johnston.k12.nc.us. The JCPS Enrollment center will have staff on hand to assist Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Special Events

  • JCPS Author SeriesThe JCPS Title I Office is excited to bring nationally known authors and illustrators to our district. Willa Brigham, Scott Reintgen, Maria Scrivan, and Bre'Anna Washington will travel to schools throughout the district, meet with students, talk with them about their careers, and hold a book signing. Students at Title I schools will receive a copy of the author's book in advance so they're ready to talk about the book with the author themselves! 

     

    Families are invited to join JCPS at an evening Meet-the-Author event at our AG Glenn Building, located at 501 S. Second Street in Smithfield. Each author will meet with families, discuss their book, and have a book signing. There will also be light refreshments and door prizes! See the schedule below to see who is next in our Author's Series.

    Maria Scrivan is a New York Times bestselling author and award-winning syndicated Cartoonist. Ms. Scrivan is the author of the graphic novel series, Nat Enough. Through this series,she is able to share her love of cartooning, something she developed at an early age. With childhood photos and stories, Maria shares her own struggles with being her own biggest bully. She emphasizes the importance of being more of who you are as well as the importance of surrounding yourself with people that lift you up instead of putting you down. During this evening event, Ms. Scrivan will share her creative process along with the tools and materials she used to create each book.

    Bre’Anna Washington is a graduate of Fayetteville State University where she majored in History and African Studies. Bre’ is a therapeutic art life coach. She is a published children’s illustrator of two best selling books, A is for Alchemy and Little Mama: Warrior Woman.

    Strong Families Raise Capable Kids

    One of the greatest pleasures of living in Johnston County is the emphasis on family. Folks take it seriously here – they know that family is where everything starts and ends.  We couldn’t agree more so the Partnership for Children works to help families stay strong, through good times and bad.     APP Adolescent Parenting Program (APP)

    The Adolescent Parenting Program (APP) is a free program that serves any Johnston County pregnant or parenting teen nineteen years or younger, who wants support achieving life goals and establishing family plans. This program is a part of the Department of Social Services, and works with other community agencies such as the school systems and the health department. Social Workers will meet with the participants at least monthly at home, school, or other community locations. Learn More.

    Exceptional Children's Assistance Center

    Exceptional Children's Assistance Center (ECAC) is a private, nonprofit parent organization, committed to improving the lives and education of ALL children through a special emphasis on children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. ECAC affirms the right of all individuals, from all backgrounds and cultures, with or without disabilities, to an appropriate education and other needed services. ECAC seeks to make that right a reality by providing information, education, outreach, and support to and for families with children across the state of North Carolina. Learn More.
