Ms. Marica Rawls
Greetings everyone, my name is Marica Rawls. I am a native of Johnston County, and grew up here in Clayton, NC. I am a very proud dog mom to Prince and I attended East Carolina University where I studied Biology and Forensic Science. I started my teaching career in Johnston County at Benson Middle school teaching 7th and 8th grade science. This is my third year teaching Biology at Clayton High School and I am excited to be back in my hometown.

We will be using google classroom throughout our course this year. Google classroom codes will be provided to students in class on Monday August 23rd.
At a Special Session meeting on Oct. 27, the Johnston County Board of Education approved the following calendar changes: adding two wellness days and an optional teacher work day to the district’s November calendar.
Johnston County Public Schools is now offering a Substitute Teacher Temporary Incentive Pay Plan for substitutes.
At their August meeting, the Johnston County Board of Education voted 4-3 to make face coverings required indoors in all Johnston County Public Schools campuses and on all buses for students, staff, and guests. This updated mask requirement is effective immediately.
