Mrs. Katie Blackman

Welcome Health Science students.  This is my first year at Clayton High school.  I am very excited about being your teacher this semester.

My health science background is Radiology.  I am a registered Radiologic Technologist (x-ray) and Sonographer.  My certifications included being nationally certified in Radiology, Mammography, and Medical Sonography.  I completed my education at Johnston Community College where I received a degree in Medical Office, Radiology, Medical Sonography and a certificate in Mammography.  My clinical experience includes 17 years in Radiology working in hospitals and diagnostic centers with patients of all ages.  I am passionate about healthcare and love the idea of using my clinical experience to help and guide students toward a career in healthcare.
