Mrs. Kayla Prince

Hello everyone!  My name is Kayla Prince. I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and Assistant Principal Intern at Benson Elementary School.  I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education.  I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect.  An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.

I have had the pleasure of owning a family child care home, teaching in preschool, being a teacher assistant in an elementary school and being the director of a child care facility.  I have an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, B.S. in Birth to Kindergarten Education and M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction.  I am currently pursuing my Master of School Administration and will graduate in December 2018.

My husband and I have a beautiful family of three sons.  I enjoy spending time with my family playing football, basketball and many other recreational activities that my boys surprise me with.  I also love riding motorcycles and ATVs, cooking and reading!

My passion has always been to teach! My mother and grandmother were teachers so it's in my blood!  I look forward to working with you and getting to know you and your child this school year!
