Welcome to Clayton Middle School! I am the 7th grade inclusion teacher and the Exceptional Children lead for Clayton Middle. I have been teaching for 19 years and have my bachelor's and Master's in special education from Illinois State University. I am currently working towards my PhD in educational administration through Capella University. I originally lived in Illinois, but moved to North Carolina in 2020. I look forward to working with the students and growing together!

  • ACCESS testing for English Language Learners

    North Carolina schools are required to administer ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 to all students identified as English Learners (ELs) in the spring of each year to determine their progress in learning English. Each student is tested in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This assessment helps us monitor their English language development.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
