This will be my 12th year of teaching and my 17th year with Johnston County Schools. I was a Teacher Assistant and Bus Driver for Micro-Pine Level Elementary while I completed my Bachelors Degree in Special Education for 5 years. I started my 6th year as an Inclusion Teacher at Smithfield Middle and continued in the resource and inclusion setting for 11 years. This year I began a new chapter in my journey of education, serving as an Occupational Course of Studies at Smithfield-Selma High School.
I have 2 children, Ben and Leanne, and am married to my husband, Eddie. My parents are originally from Johnston County and we moved back to the area once my father retired from the Air Force and my children were in their 1st years of elementary school.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns. I'm looking forward to this new school year.
