About Me
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University in 2003 from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I then joined the NC State Wolfpack family again to receive a teaching certificate in Middle Grades Science 6-9 in 2007 from the College of Education. I got my AIG certification at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2010. I taught at Carnage Middle School from 2008-2020. I then took a break from teaching and worked as a medical assistant at EmergeOrtho.
I am happy to say that I am back in the teaching profession. Teaching is my passion. I am teaching at Selma Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year.
I am married and have two boys. Zach is 12 years old and he is a student at Smithfield Middle School. Logan is 7 years old and he is a student at South Smithfield Middle School. We live in the town of Smithfield.

Trades and Classified Job Fair 2023
Johnston County Public Schools will hold it's annual Trades & Classified Job Fair on Saturday, June 24. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Smithfield-Selma High School, 700 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy, Smithfield, NC 27577.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
