Mrs. Monica Schneider

I'm so excited to be here at Selma Middle School. This year, I will be teaching 6th grade Math, serving as the Athletic Director, and coaching volleyball and track. I am starting my 15th year of teaching, but my first year teaching in North Carolina. I have taught in Kansas, Iowa, and Louisiana. I graduated from Missouri Western State University in 1999, where I was a football cheerleader and completed the Army ROTC program. Go Golden Griffins!

I have been married for 22 years. Todd and I met in Kansas in 1993. We married in June of 2000. Since then, we have lived in Pennsylvania, Texas, Iowa, Louisiana, and North Carolina. We have two children. Stella (21) started college at Newman University in Kansas. She was a member of the women's soccer team and the triathlon team. She has now transferred to Campbell University and just started the nursing program. She also plays for the Campbell Club soccer team (Go Camels!). Thomas (18) is a freshman year at North Arkansas College. He is a member of the men's soccer team (Go Pioneers!) and is working on a certificate in HVAC systems. We have three furry children: Baker Mae, a black Lab; Bleau, an Australian Cattle Dog mix; and Bella, a Rat Terrier. 

It is an honor to be part of the Selma family. #WeAreSelma.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
