Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Debby Capps Woodard

Hello Career and Technical Leadership Academy! My name is Debby Woodard and I am thrilled to be part of the CTLA team.  I am a Johnston County native, and attended East Carolina University for my undergraduate and North Carolina State University for both my graduate degrees. This is my twenty-fourth year in education.  I have ten years of experience in the middle school setting as a teacher, four years of experience as a science teacher at the high school level, six years of experience as a district level coach for both Johnston County Public Schools and Harnett County Schools.  I also have five years of Administrative experience in Johnston County Public Schools.  I am excited to serve the staff, students and families of CTLA as the Curriculum Coach.

I have been married to Brian Woodard for (26 years) and together we have two children: Jordan (24), a graduate of Western Carolina University and Kyndal (20), who attends Mount Olive University.  I grew up in Four Oaks North Carolina where I currently reside.  Most of my free time revolves around my children and their extracurricular activities, but in any other spare time, I love our place at Emerald Isle, good coffee, traveling to new destinations, and watching Mount Olive Softball, where my daughter is a college athlete. I look forward to getting to know you and serving the great CTLA community.
