Mrs. Amanda Courtney

Welcome to a new school year in second grade at Wilson's Mills Elementary School! My name is Amanda Courtney, and I am delighted to be your child's teacher this year. I have been anxiously waiting to begin teaching your child and watching him/her grow academically and socially as a second grader.

This will be my 14th year in the classroom. In addition to teaching second grade, I have taught kindergarten and first grade. I am originally from Ohio and moved to North Carolina after receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Toledo. I am certified to teach Pre-kindergarten through grade six and am a National Board Certified Teacher.

My family and I live in Clayton. It includes Michael (husband), twins (Ross & Raegan), and three dogs (Sadie, Lillie, & Duke). Ross & Raegan will be joining me at Wilson's Mills and will be in fourth grade!
