Associates in Early Childhood Education Bachelor's in Birth through Kindergarten NC Teaching Licensure

Tashanda Smith

Greetings to all,

My name is Tashanda Smith, and I am a Kindergarten teacher here at East Clayton Elementary. I was born and raised in  Wilmington, NC, and spent my teenage years in Baltimore, MD.  I have taught Pre-K for 10 years, and this is my first year with Kinders. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Birth through Kindergarten Education with an NC Licensure at UNC-Greensboro.

I am truly passionate about children's education, as they are our future. I adore watching the way my students learn, grow, internalize, and master!  I am married to a wonderful husband, who is also my high school sweetheart. We have our Dog-Daughter named Lola. Just a few things about me: My favorite authors are Eric Carle, Margaret Wise Brown, Ezra Keats, and Bill Marin Jr. Pink makes me happy, and I have a complete passion for baking. I have a small baking business in Clayon, NC where I reside.
