Mrs. Shelley Roberts
My name is Shelley Roberts and I am thrilled to be a first time Comet! This year I will be teaching Counseling and Mental Health 1 and 2. I have taught in Johnston County schools for the past 22 years, but have just moved up to the high school level. Teaching has always been my passion, and must be in my blood, as my mother and grandmother are retired teachers.
I earned my undergraduate and Master's degrees from East Carolina University...go Pirates! I am married to my amazing, supportive best friend and we have three children, aged 19,15, and 11. My husband and I were both raised in Johnston county and are products of our amazing schools. I have a great love for our town and the people who live and work here each day. My family enjoys spending time together at Lake Gaston and we keep very busy with sporting events and other outdoor activities. Our family has a sweet, old Labrador and a new, very rambunctious Golden Retriever. We also have two spoiled cats. I am most relaxed when eating chocolate, sitting on a beach or boat, or watching a movie.

Trades and Classified Job Fair 2023
Johnston County Public Schools will hold it's annual Trades & Classified Job Fair on Saturday, June 24. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Smithfield-Selma High School, 700 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy, Smithfield, NC 27577.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
