Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Clayton High School. I am so excited. This is my 19th year teaching and my first year here as a Comet. I am teaching Principles of Family and Human Services and Teaching as a Profession. I graduated from Meredith College with a Social Work Degree, and then I went back several years later to obtain an education degree.

I have had the opportunity to work in various capacities as a Social Worker and as an educator. I have a passion for teaching students, and I love to see them thrive.

I have lived in Clayton with my husband for over 30 years. I have two sons who both graduated from Clayton High School. I love my family and my dogs.

I am one of the FCCLA advisors and I encourage all of my students to join Clayton's FCCLA chapter. For more information about FCCLA, please watch for information and announcements on our bulletin board.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
