Ms. Stephanie Parent

Hi There! Welcome to Fabulous First Grade! My name is Stephanie Parent and this is my 15th year as an educator. I graduated from Fitchburg State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Reading Specialist from Elms College. 
 
For most of my career I have taught in Springfield, Massachusetts, which is where I am from, but have also been able to teach internationally in Guatemala. I have had the privilege of teaching kindergarten, first grade and special education.
 
My fiance and I just moved to North Carolina this summer with our three cats, Maxy, Bobby, and Jilly, and our golden retriever, Zoe. 
When I'm not in the classroom, you can usually find me reading on the couch with the cats, powerlifting, or attempting to garden (but I don't quite have a green thumb yet.)
 
I am excited to be a part of the first grade team at Riverwood Elementary School this year!
