Joanna Pearce
A Little About Me...
My name is Joanna Pearce. I serve as the CTE Student Support Specialist for Smithfield-Selma High School! Before coming to Johnston County, I taught Business Education at both the middle and high school levels. I also served as a Special Education Teacher. In 2018, I made the decision to leave the classroom, because I wanted to be able to support students and help them succeed.
In December of 1997, I graduated from Barton College with a BS in Business Administration. I have worked in many industries, but ultimately decided that teaching was my passion. I began teaching in August of 1998.
I am married to my soulmate, Keith. I have two beautiful kids, Leah, 26 and Matthew, 13. While not at school helping students, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling to see new things. I also enjoy fishing and watching sitcoms.
My goal is to help you be successful. I am here to help students, parents, and teachers, so please reach out to me if you have any questions.
