Contact Me - Welcome to Miss Rodia's Kindergarten Class

Welcome to our classroom webpage!  I’m a 3rd grade teacher here at Benson Elementary.  This is my sixth year teaching at Benson Elementary.  It's my fifth year in third grade; I taught one year in first grade.  I graduated from East Carolina University in December of 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading grades K-12.

Some of my favorite things are spending time with my husband, our children (Blakelyn and Weston), and our dog (Butch), Camping, and Reading.

Favorite Food: Japanese and Pasta

Favorite Color: Teal and Pink

  • Free/Reduced Lunch Applications

    As you know, all students were able to have free breakfast & Lunch this school year.  If you do not complete the lunch application for the current school year, your child will be required to purchase breakfast and lunch at the beginning of 2022-2023 school year until their application is approved.

    What Is Red Ribbon Week? It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon, October 23 - 31st. The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a drug-free America.

    Our district is launching a new portion of our website to further communicate bus delays and replacements with our families. We encourage those who have a student who utilizes our transportation to get to or from school to visit www.johnston.k12.nc.us/busdelays for updates on our school bus routes beginning Tuesday, January 18.
