Please read below things that you can do at home during our school closure. Please feel free to email me (email@example.com) for any extra information you may need.
It is essential that students continue to practice reading, writing, and math skills. Please work on these activities in the event of temporary school closure.
Reading (reading workbooks)
Read any story in any My Book. We have sent home Books 1-3 already. There are many activities that are not complete, work on these.
One story should be read out of the My Books Monday-Friday. If any written work is not complete for the story read, your student should complete the written activity for the story.
Work on those reading logs! Just record titles in your agendas for now. That will count! Online stories count
Work on Lexia! (log-ins have already been sent home) Don’t help with this, please. We need it to be the student’s work to help meet their needs. Twenty minutes a day is sufficient.
Writing (one writing per day)
Write about your experiences at home. Each writing should include an introduction sentence, Three sentences about your topic, and a conclusion sentence You may write on regular notebook paper or in the notebook provided. Don’t forget illustrations to go with your writing.
Some topics may include…. My favorite meal (for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, favorite candy), my favorite TV show, my favorite story from myBook, what I miss most about school, signs of spring in your yard or outside… You can also go to getepic.com and read during school hours and research topics of your choice and write about those!
