Mr. John Foote

Hello Virtual Family!

I am so proud to be a member of the team at Johnston County Virtual Academy. Together, we can do virtually anything!

I have been with Johnston County Schools since 2001, serving as a school counselor at Selma Elementary and Wilson's Mills Elementary. Previous to that, I was a counselor in Olean New York, working in both elementary and high schools. St. Bonaventure University, near Olean, is where I earned my MS Ed in Community Counseling and my Advanced Masters in School Counseling. I also have an MS Ed. in School Administration from NC State University. Go Pack! In fact, everyone in the family, wife and two children, is an NC State grade!

In my free time, I like photography, teaching students to play chess, and hanging out with Archie, my Goldendoodle.

Please reach out if I can be of any service. My goal is to help the students be successful in school.
