A little about me..... Previously, I've lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Atlanta, Georgia, Plymouth, Minnesota, and Kansas City, Missouri. After leaving North Carolina 27 years ago, I am delighted to be back and call Johnston County home! My husband and I are the proud parents of two college students embracing life as empty nesters. Traveling, solving puzzles, and long-distance walks are all activities that bring me joy. 

Teaching students and seeing that "I've got it moment" also brings me great fulfillment. As a parent, I know firsthand that middle school can be challenging. I am driven to support you and your child in every way possible. Before touching your child's mind, I want first to touch their heart and let them know they are in a safe place to learn, be inquisitive, and thrive! Let's make this school year the best one yet - G0 EAGLES 2022-2023!

***I am also looking for parent volunteers that would be willing to be guest speakers or share the names/contact information of others. Guest speakers are needed to discuss their jobs and the journey it took to get there. ***

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
