 All About Me: 

 Welcome to my page! My name is Ashley Barbour. I am from Dunn, NC. I graduated from Campbell University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Dusty, for 6 years. We have a sweet maltipoo, Tucker. We have 1 daughter, Emalyn Kate,  who is 2.  I have been teaching in Johnston County for 9 years; this year is my 10th year. I have taught at Benson Elementary 6 years, 1 year in 2nd grade, 4 years in kindergarten and 1 year in 1st grade. This is my 3rd year at McGees Elementary. My first year I taught Kindergarten, 2 years teaching 3rd Grade and this year I have come back to Kindergarten for my 4th year at McGees.  I love Kindergarten and enjoy working with sweet Kinder babies.  I am excited and honored to get to share in your child's Kindergarten year. I love teaching with my whole heart; it is my passion to see students learn new things and show amazing growth each year. I hope to help all of my students make wonderful memories and develop a deep love of learning. Please feel free to email, call or Dojo message me at anytime with questions.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.

    If your student is in need of a backpack 🎒 with supplies please don’t hesitate to stop by Overflow Church on Saturday, August 6th from 10am-12pm located at 8280 NC 50 N, Angier. There will be water slides, slip n slide, snow cones, & snacks to celebrate Back to School!  Thank You Overflow Church for your continued support!!

    Free/Reduced Lunch Applications

    As you know, all students were able to have free breakfast & Lunch this school year.  If you do not complete the lunch application for the current school year, your child will be required to purchase breakfast and lunch at the beginning of 2022-2023 school year until their application is approved.
