I am excited about my first year at Wilson's Mills and look forward to expanding my knowledge of special education. I have been teaching since 2012 and transitioned to the world of Early Intervention and Special Education in 2017. I was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina and moved to the RDU area for college. I graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2008 with my Family and Consumer Sciences c. Child Development and Family Relations Degree. I obtained my Master of Education Degree in 2016 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have a thing for psychology, neuroscience, and everything brain sciences and I am currently in my first year of my doctoral program studying Developmental Psychology.
My commitment for this school year is to develop relationships with children and families and work as a committed team to each child's success. My motto, adopted from author Tayo Rockson, is to "use your difference to make a difference." That is my goal every single day!
I look forward to working with everyone in the Wilson's Mills community. I am excited about this upcoming school year!!
Thanks so much for checking in! Please contact me for any questions or concerns.
I enjoy playing the flute, hiking, planting, and spending time with family.

Johnston County Public Schools is always striving to provide students and families with exemplary service. In most cases, school bus transportation is essential for many students to access a quality education. In order to meet our daily goal, it is necessary to implement change that enhances and improves our overall operation. As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, JCPS Transportation Services and School Nutrition will be hosting a Summer Information Fair at each high school.
Our district is launching a new portion of our website to further communicate bus delays and replacements with our families. We encourage those who have a student who utilizes our transportation to get to or from school to visit www.johnston.k12.nc.us/busdelays for updates on our school bus routes beginning Tuesday, January 18.
The Johnston County Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the 2022 Johnston County Public Schools salary schedule at their regularly scheduled Dec. 14 meeting.
