Mrs. Danielle Szaro

My name is Danielle Szaro and I teach first grade here at Dixon Road Elementary. This will be my third year teaching first grade here. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's Degree in K-12 Literacy and Curriculum Instruction from NC State. I am married to my husband, Evan, and we have a three, almost four, year old son, Bentley. We have two dogs, Oakley and Finn. Reading is my passion and I am looking forward to another exciting and fun-filled year in first grade!

  • Kids Heart Challenge

    Congratulations Dragonflies on a job well done with the Kids Heart Challenge this year!! Our school raised over $8,600 for the American Heart Association. Please make sure that all donations are complete and turned in to Coach Bullock NO LATER THAN Wednesday, March 8th. Thank you again for being a "heart hero" and helping others.

    The SECU Summer Camp Awards Program is back!  SECU plans to provide FAT CAT youth members, ages 12 and under along with Zard youth members, ages 13-19, with scholarships for summer camp registration and associated fees.

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
