Mr. Vargas

Hello, My name is Ivan Vargas, I teach Earth Science at South Johnston High School. I graduated from South Johnston High School in 2014 and continued my education at University of Mount Olive where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Science of Biology. I am glad to be back at South, but this time as a teacher. This year will be my 2nd year teaching at South Johnston High School and I am truly excited about it! I currently live in Four Oaks with my wife Vanessa and two daughters Kayleen and Elisa. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family traveling. I also love hiking, exploring new places, watching sports, playing sports, and listening to music. I look forward to another great school year full of learning despite the challenges that arise due to Covid 19.
