I am so excited to begin the 22-23 school year at West Smithfield Elementary. This is my 12th year teaching and 7th year in Johnston County Public School. I recieved my undergrauate degree from North Carolina State University, in Sociology and a minor in Crimal Justice in 2002. I worked with the homeless population in Wake County, before completing my master's degree. In 2010, I completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Education and began my teaching career. I am originally from Michigan and have lived here in North Carolina for 26 years. We currently live in Garner, where we have lived for the last 5 years. I have been married for 22 years and have 2 children. My oldest son is 16 years old and is a Junior at West Johnston High School. My youngest son is 12 years old and a 7th grade at Cleveland Middle School. I am looking forward to this school year and getting to know the kids and their families.
