Degrees and Certifications:
Miss Taylor Cobb
My name is Taylor Cobb, and I am an exceptional children's teacher here at South Smithfield Elementary. I will be teaching resource and inclusion across a variety of grade levels. I just moved to North Carolina, so this is my first year here at SSE. Previously I had worked in northern Illinois and lived just right across the border in southern Wisconsin. I graduated Northern Illinois University with a Bachlor's degree in Special Education and an Early Childhood endorsement in 2016, so this marks my 6th year of teaching. I have had experience in a variety of settings, from self-contained classrooms, to resource, inclusion, and RTI support in a pre-k and kindergarten setting. I am exited that this year I will get to work with a variety of grade levels.
Since I am coming from Illinois, I am a big Chicago sports fan so I will always be rooting for the Chicago Bears and Cubs. I also coached dance team while working in Illinois, so that is another passion of mine. I enjoy being outside and trying new things! I cannot wait to learn about your student's interests and passions! I look forward to meeting all of you. Please feel free to reach out to me! Here is to a great school year at SSE being a dynamic dolphin!
