Welcome to the Eagle's Nest! I am a new teacher moving from the private sector to the public sector. Becoming a teacher was always my childhood dream. I am very excited to be on this new, fun, and exciting journey as an Eagle at West Smithfield Elementary. I started out teaching Pre-K, and that is how I knew teaching was definitely my passion. My husband and I have 6 children between us, and we have 3 wonderful dogs. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year here at WSES.

Johnston County Public Schools 2022-2023 Preschool Applications are ready for your students that will be 3 or 4 years old on August 31, 2022. North Carolina does not have universal Preschool, therefore you do have to apply and qualify for one of our Preschool slots.

**PowerSchool Parent Portal**
Parents, If you have not received your login for the Parent Portal, PLEASE update your child's records with a current email address. You will need to send a note with your child to have your email address updated. Please include your name, your child's name, and your current email address on the note. Mrs. Williams will then be able to update your records and activate your PowerSchool Parent Portal login.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
