Hello Pioneers! My name is Ms. Zavaleta and I am so excited about starting the 2022-2023 school year! I am the 6th grade math teacher. This is my second year at Innovation Academy and my fourth year teaching. I graduated from Meredith College. Go Angels! 

I was born and raised in Garner, North Carolina and even went to school with Scotty McCreery! I have a corgi named Remy. You will find random corgi stickers, pictures, and all things Corgi in my classroom because I am obsessed with him. During my free time, you will find me with my corgi, binge watching a show (currently it is Gilmore Girls), or spending time with my family. I got engaged last year and will be getting married this November! I also enjoy traveling. The list of places I have visited are Spain, Italy, France, and Mexico, but I hope to continue adding to that list very soon!
