Mrs. Lyons

Hi! My name is Mrs. Lyons and I am new to Dixon Road this year!  I may be new to this school but not to the world of teaching.  I have taught for several years in 2nd and 4th grades and LOVED it!  I love watching children grasp concepts, grow in their self-confidence and enjoy learning!  I have worked in school in some aspect since I was 18 and can't imagine doing anything else!  I am so excited and proud to be a Dragonfly!

I am a WNC native and enjoy any activity outdoors, especially in the mountains.  In nature is my favorite place to be and Science is one of my favorite subjects.  I'm a huge advocate for hands-on learning and love to bring that to my classroom any time I am able. I live in Angier with my husband, two boys and our crazy pup, Scout.  We spend our weekends outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, exploring.  Our boys will both be attending Dixon Road this year!
