Mr. Austin Barbour
My name is Austin Barbour. I graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School in 2004 where I played football, basketball, baseball, & soccer. After graduation and in my first year in college I decided I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself so I joined the Smithfield Fire Department. I obtained my certifications as a firefighter and EMT through JCC. I graduated Methodist University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and double majored in Athletic Training. After college I started my first job as a career firefighter and married my beautiful wife Britney. We now have three daughters named Lexi, Tenley, and Laney. All three are in school at Pine Level Elementary. My wife and myself love spending time with our girls and watch them grow. I am currently a volunteer firefighter for Bethany Fire Department and I work part-time for Johnston County Emergency Services as a Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). I love serving the citizens of Johnston County who make this place we call home a great place to live.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
