I am originally from the Pittsburgh area and moved to North Carolina in 1995 to start my teaching career. I earned my teaching degree at Grove City College in Grove City, PA. My first 21 years of teaching were in elementary grades, the last 4 years have been at ALMS teaching 6th grade Science. My husband and I have been married for 28 years. I have two children; my son is 22 and has a double degree in crinal justice and foresic Science, but is currently working at Discount Tire Co with my husband. My daughter is a rising 11h grader at Cleveland High School. My daughter competes in Hip Hop dance throughout the year and her team finished 6th at Worlds 2 years ago!
My favorites are traveling, the beach, reading, spending time with family, starbucks, chocolate and of course teaching!

Innovative Programs Virtual Family Information Nights Scheduled
Johnston County Public Schools invites students and their families to learn more about our interesting options for our middle and high school students during our Virtual Information Nights on January 28 and February 4, 2021. Participants will be able to visit the virtual spaces for each program and talk with program coordinators and students from 6:00-8:00 pm.

JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students
The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.

High School State Assessments Update
On December 8th 2020, the Johnston County School Board of Education voted to return to Plan C (Remote Learning), we would like to provide an update to parents and guardians of options to complete state-mandated End-of-Course (EOC) and Career/Technical Education Post Assessment testing.
