Mrs. Candice Love

My name is Candice Love and I am a third grade teacher at Micro Elementary. My family and I moved from South Carolina to North Carolina in 2012 and just recently moved to Johnston County in February of 2021. I graduated from Clemson University and this is my 15th year teaching. I have taught first, second, third, and fifth grade (with third grade being my favorite)!! My husband and I have four children: Zadie and Matthew are both 15 and are in the 10th grade. Matthew attends North Johnston High and Zadie attends school in Charleston, SC where she lives with her mother. Haley is 12 and attends North Johnston Middle School and is in the 7th grade.  Our youngest, Katie Lynn, is 7 and attends second grade here at Micro. • Updated COVID-19 Quarantine Guidance

There have been significant changes to the Strong Schools NC toolkit that affects the quarantine procedures our staff and students must follow if they are exposed to a positive case of COVID-19. Any student or staff member who is currently quarantined due to an exposure of a positive COVID-19 case may return to school or work tomorrow, unless the close contact is a housemate. We are able to make this adjustment because our district requires masks for all students, staff, and guests.

  • Updated COVID-19 Quarantine Guidance

Our district is continuing to follow the guidance and recommendations from the Johnston County Public Health Department, the CDC, and the Strong Schools NC Toolkit, and we will now adhere to a 5 day quarantine period for students or staff members who tests positive for COVID-19. This is a change from the previous 10 day quarantine time.
