Hello everyone, 

     I am very excited to be teaching social studies/history at Choice Plus Academy. For the last 12 years I have taught special education in Wake County. My intitial goal for teaching was to be a social studies teacher, but other paths led me into special education. I enjoyed teaching special education but always new I wanted to follow my original passion for teaching in the area of social studies. 2020 was a great year of transition and adaptation for many of us(Covid 19,lockdowns, virtual learning/teaching) and I figured it was as good a time as any to make the switch to social studies and a new school, so here I am. I am looking forward to my journey as a social studies teacher and making history feel relevant and exciting for all students.
