7th Grade English Language Arts, AIG Certified, BA in English for North Carolina State University, National Board Certified, and will be done with my MS in New Literacies and Global Learning in December of 2019.
I have been teaching for 12 years, and I have been able to call myself a Gator for 11 of those years. I love to read and write and hope to share my passion with the students who enter my classroom. I look forward to beginning this year's journey with you and your child.

ACCESS testing for English Language Learners
North Carolina schools are required to administer ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 to all students identified as English Learners (ELs) in the spring of each year to determine their progress in learning English. Each student is tested in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This assessment helps us monitor their English language development.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
