Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Hilary Holtzhauser

I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish.  After teaching special education and Spanish for 3 years, I went back to school at NCSU to receive my Master of Education in Counseling with a focus on School Counseling.  This is my ninth year as an educator, and it is my first year at Polenta Elementary.  I am pleased to be working with your child this year and look forward to seeing them succeed and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My caseload includes 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.

A Little About Me:

I am married and have 2 young children. I have 1 yellow labrador retriever named Sydney.  When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing music, and going to the beach. Some of my favorite things are coffee, chocolate, and singing along to Frozen songs.
