Mrs. Amanda Spoon

Hello Friends! My name is Amanda Spoon.  This is my 9th year as a School Counselor in JCPS. I have always lived in Johnston County and grew up in the Cleveland School community.  

I graduated from South Johnston High School in 2002, earned a B.A. in Psychology from Peace College in 2006, and received a M. Ed in School Counseling from Campbell University in 2011.

I live at McGee’s Crossroads with my husband and my daughter, Shelby Claire, who is 1 yr old and will earn the title of Big Sister in February. 

A few of my favorite things are mexican food, NC State Wolfpack, Charlie Brown and all his friends, flowers, the color green, peanut butter, coke zero, summer, playing Yahtzee, and family and friends! I am so excited for this school year with you and look forward to it being a great one. May we always remember the words of Dr. Suess- “Why fit in when you were born the stand out.”
