Ms. Yuliana Barragon

My name is Yuliana Barragán, I was born and raised in a small town in Colombia. I have a degree in modern languages at university of Quindio, Colombia. I am a bilingual teacher with more than four years of experience in the educational field. I have worked with Reggio Emilia approach, which focus on preschool and primary education. 
I truly believe it is essential to provide meaningful learning in my classes. As an educator, I am willing to support and encourage my students to discover and explore their Spanish skills. One of my goals as a teacher is to focus on providing all students a relevant and challenging learning experience. I am happy for the opportunity to pursue my passion for teaching and supporting student learning.

  • Social Media Use and Non-Credible Threats

    We are sharing information regarding non-credible threats made against several of our high school campuses today via social media. It is important to our district to notify our families of anything that may cause widespread concern.

  • JC BOE votes to require masks for all JCPS students and staff

    At their August meeting, the Johnston County Board of Education voted 4-3 to make face coverings required indoors in all Johnston County Public Schools campuses and on all buses for students, staff, and guests. This updated mask requirement is effective immediately.

  • 2021-2022 JCPS Preschool applications now open

    The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.
