Ms. Yuliana Barragan

My name is Yuliana Barragán, I was born and raised in a small town in Colombia. I have a degree in modern languages at University of Quindio, Colombia. I am a bilingual teacher with more than four years of experience in the educational field. I have worked with Reggio Emilia approach, which focuses on preschool and primary education. 
I truly believe it is essential to provide meaningful learning in my classes. As an educator, I am willing to support and encourage my students to discover and explore their Spanish skills. One of my goals as a teacher is to focus on providing all students with a relevant and challenging learning experience. I am happy for the opportunity to pursue my passion for teaching and supporting student learning.

 I love to share my culture and language with my students. I am a traveler, a coffee lover, a dreamer. I enjoy working out and mountain bike.

  • JCPS to implement state-of-the-art security systems

    At the November Regular Session Board of Education meeting, the Board voted unanimously to improve safety and security in Johnston County Public Schools by implementing state-of-the-art security systems in each of the district’s schools.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
