¡Bienvenidos y bienvenidas!, soy Mónica Salgado y los estaré guiando y acompañando en este curso este semestre . Soy licenciada en Español, Inglés y Francés de la Universidad de la Salle en Bogotá, Colombia y Magister en Artes en Enseñanza del Inglés a hablantes de otros idiomas de Greensboro College en Carolina del Norte. Estoy segura de que aprenderé mucho de ustedes y que podré compartir muchas cosas sobre mi cultura,mi primer idioma (Español por supuesto) y mi pasión por los idiomas!

Who am I?

Welcome! , I’m Monica Salgado and I will guide you through this course this semester. I am a Spanish, English and French educator from the University of La Salle in Bogota, Colombia with a Masters in Arts in TESOL from Greensboro College here in NC. I am sure I will learn tons from all of you and that I will be able to share a lot about my culture, my first language (Spanish of course) and my passion for languages!

  • JCPS Outdoor Mask Mandate Lifted

    While face masks are still required in all of our indoor facilities, students, staff, and guests of our campuses are no longer required to wear a face covering when outdoors. Students and staff may continue to wear masks when participating in recess or outdoor activities if they choose to do so.

    The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.

  • JCPS releases updated graduation and prom details

    Johnston County Public Schools has updated its plan to mark senior milestones, including prom and graduation while adhering to guidance from the Johnston County Public Health Department and the CDC in regards to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

    The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return Pre-K - 5th grade to Plan A, four days per week, beginning on Monday, March. 1.
