Update for Teacher Contact
Just to let you know that my office hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00-9:00 and 2:00-3:00. As always, you can contact me through my email and Class Dojo and I will respond, if not immediately, during my office hours. Thank you all for your patience as we navigate our new normal together.
Hello. My name is Kimberly Stevens and I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have lived in North Carolina for the past nineteen years. While the Panthers are a perfectly good football team, I am and have always been a Steelers fan. I attended Slippery Rock University in Western PA and later continued my education at the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks! I will admit, I'm not a fan of hurricanes or the Hurricanes. I prefer Penguins!
I have a degree in Special Education, as well as teaching certificates in three states. I have been joyful married for twenty-nine years and have four wonderful children of my own and have added a beautiful daughter-in-law to our family. I continue to have three "fur" children (two dogs and a bunny).
I have been a special education teacher for twenty-five years. I feel I can claim a much longer time as I have been working with special populations since the age of twelve. Teaching special education is not my job, it is my calling. My goal for your children are for them to reach success even further than they thought possible and be prepared for life after graduation.
