Summer Teacher Contact
I want everyone to have a wonderful summer. I don't have regular office hours during the summer, but you can get in contact with me through DoJo. I hope everyone has a safe, healthy summer. Again, thank you all for your patience as we navigated our new normal together.
Teacher Information
Hello. My name is Kimberly Stevens and I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have lived in North Carolina for the past nineteen years. While the Panthers are a perfectly good football team, I am and have always been a Steelers fan. I attended Slippery Rock University in Western PA and later continued my education at the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks! I will admit, I'm not a fan of hurricanes or the Hurricanes. I prefer Penguins!
I have a degree in Special Education, as well as teaching certificates in three states. I have been joyful married for thirty years and have four wonderful children of my own and have added a beautiful daughter-in-law to our family. I continue to have two "fur" children (a dog and a bunny).
I have been a special education teacher for twenty-six years. I feel I can claim a much longer time as I have been working with special populations since the age of twelve. Teaching special education is not my job, it is my calling. My goal for your children are for them to reach success even further than they thought possible and be prepared for life after graduation.
