Hello everyone! I am so excited about being your child’s teacher. This will be my seventeenth year with Johnston County Schools and my fourteenth year teaching Kindergarten. I am very passionate about teaching and truly feel it is my life’s calling.
I was born and raised in Raleigh and graduated from Athens Drive High School. After high school, I went to East Carolina University and graduated in 1991 with a BS in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I worked in a private pre-school for five years and then after the adoption of my first daughter, I stayed home for five years. During that time I adopted my second daughter. It is still hard to believe that I have been to Russia not once, but twice! My oldest daughter, Jessi, graduated from Corinth Holders High in June of 2016 and now works at Caterpillar in Clayton. She is also recently engaged and we are planning a wedding for May of 2020. My youngest daughter, Caroline, also graduated from CHHS and now attends JCC. She is hoping to transfer to UNCW to complete her business degree. She is a talented photographer and loves to draw. I have been married to my wonderful husband for six years. I have a very large extended family and we enjoy vacationing together every year in the mountains of NC. This summer we added a new addition to our family. We now have a five year old greyhound that we adopted from Project Racing Home, in Randleman, NC. He has decided that he loves life after racing!
