Mrs. Lisa McDowell
My name is Mrs. McDowell and I am starting my sixth year at Benson Elementary and my 17th year teaching in Johnston County Schools. I am excited about being your child's STEM teacher!
A little about me...I graduated from East Carolina University with an Elementary Education Degree (K-6); a Reading Licensure (K-12) and have since become AIG Certified (K-12) and completed my Master's in Elementary Education (Curriculum and Instruction; K-6) from NC State University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher (Middle Childhood Generalist). I look forward to working with you and teaching your child!
On a personal note, Mr. McDowell and I welcomed our daughter, Edna, in October of 2016! He married into my love of NC State athletics and Edna loves sporting her NC State gear! She also looks very good in purple---Go Pirates!
