Ms. Nancy Shafer

Hi!  Welcome to Glendale-Kenly Elementary Health and Physical Education!  This is my 2nd year year at Glendale-Kenly Elementary School and my 19th year teaching PK-5 Health and Physical Education.

I am orginally from New Jersey where I grew up in a magical lake community.  I had many sports available to me especially in the summer.  This is where I decided that teaching elementary physical education & health was what I really wanted to pursue as a career.   After 4 great years at West Virginia University, I went back home to New Jersey where I taught PE and health for 8 years as well as coached swimming and basketball.

I am a mom to 3 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws,  and 2 granddaughters.   I enjoy sewing sweet dresses and quilts for the girls, but also home accessories with my small sewing business--Creative Custom Sewing.   I also try to play as much tennis as I can!
