Mr. Johnny Capps

I am one of the three Agriculture Education teachers/ FFA Advisors at North Johnston High.  I have been teaching Horticuture for 31 years and have been at North Johnston for the past 24 years.  I have a passion for teaching young people and seeing them mature in to outstanding young adults.  I love working with plants and beiing in the outdoors.  I grew up and reside in the Rains Crossroads area.  I have two daughters that are married and one granddaughter and one grandson.  I have been married to my wife for 32 years.  My hobbies include plants, saltwater fishing, and softball.   I attend Rains Crossroads Original Free Will Baptist Church and would welcome anyone to come and share a pew with me!!

  • Calendar and Report Card Update

    As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Senate Bill 704 was signed into law this month which includes some new calendar requirements. Therefore, the board adopted a calendar which has adjusted the first instructional day for students as August 17, 2020...

  • Summer Meal Service begins June 1

    As the school year comes to a close, please note that JCPS meal service will now operate at 9 sites during the summer months, rather than the previous 14. Summer meal service will begin Monday, June 1. Curbside meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Benson Middle, Clayton Middle, Four Oaks Elementary, North Johnston Middle, Princeton Elementary, Selma Elementary, Smithfield-Selma High, West Clayton Elementary, and West Smithfield Elementary.

  • Graduation Plans Announced

    JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
